Dragon Quest X: An Online Roleplaying Game

It was a matter of time for this to happen. After all, this is another big franchise for the monster formerly known as Square-Enix. Dragon Quest X was announced by Square-Enix as an Online Role Playing Game for the Wii and the Wii-U. What exactly this term means? Is it just a new term referring to the used MMORPG (Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game)? Maybe just an RPG that you can play Online? Could it be that they will be incorporating some kind of Co-Op play to include just a few party members?

According to a small post on Joystiq, there will be five races to choose from and there might be some “usage fees”. Which sparks another set of interesting questions. Monthly fee, Cash Shop or Both? In the meantime, enjoy this small video before Square-Enix removes it from Youtube. If it does get removed, I have included a small gallery as well.

I have so many questions. Why is this game for the Wii and Wii-U? Is Square-Enix in a position to be releasing online games after their struggle with Final Fantasy 14 Online?
