DC Universe Online: Exclusive Trailer, and Yes it’s Good!

The trailer is simply amazing! I will say it again, after my disappointment with Champions Online I expected almost nothing from this game. Yes, this is only a trailer and is made entirely of CGI scenes. Guess what? I don’t care. Please Sony don’t screw this up.

This will be a leap of faith (Inception reference).

All jokes aside, I really hope the end product is one of quality. This whole PC and PS3 thing really has me worried. We’ll see what happens. Another reason why I am so excited about this game is the production values. According to Examiner here’s the voice cast for the DC Universe Online:

The Joker voiced by Mark Hamill
There is not one person on Earth that can do a better Joker. If you’re somehow not familiar with Hamill as the Joker play Batman: Arkham Asylum.

Batman voiced by Kevin Conroy
If you’ve watched an animated Batman there’s a high chance you’ve heard this man’s voice. Conroy has given a voice to the Dark Knight in Batman: The Animated Series, The New Batman Adventures,Batman Beyond, and numerous other titles.

Superman voiced by Adam Baldwin
It’s Jayne, it’s Casey, nope it’s Adam Baldwin. The iconic Firefly veteran and NSA Agent on Chuckwill be the man of steel in DCUO. Aside from major television roles, Baldwin has voice acted in several video games such as Mass Effect 2 and Halo 3.

Wonder Woman voiced by Gina Torres
Another Firefly cast member will join Baldwin; it’s the first mate Zoe. Torres can be found in a number of feature films and as the voice of Vixen in the Justice League animated series. She also voiced Superwoman in the animated Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths.

Lex Luthor voiced by James Marsters
Enough folks of Firefly are present that it will be no surprise to see a Buffy the Vampire Slayer star also included. Marsters, known for his role as Spike on BtVS and Angel will be voicing Lex Luthor. He also made appearances on superhero media like Smallville and live action Dragon Ball movie.

Circe voiced by Michelle Forbes
True Blood‘s Maryann will voice Circe to Torres’ Wonder Woman. Forbes has done work on video games like Half-Life 2 and showed up on television in series like Battlestar Galactica.

By the way, Wonder Woman is kicking some serious butt in the trailer.
