Female Gamers: Interview with Millies

I was lucky enough to have a chat with millies, the XFX participant, model and avid WoW Gamer. Some questions might not make sense because I was trying to make reference to some of the other WOM female bloggers.

For those that don’t know you, who is millies?

Millies is Kate Heffernan, 21. Originally from Seattle, grew up in Palm Springs, graduated high school early and moved to LA when I was sixteen, signed with LA Models, top 5 agency…. drama drama drama, as you may or may not know, bitches r crazy. Working with all women was a bad idea, so I’ve lightened that up bit and worked at EA as a tester and started going to college and modeling part time, now I do school/modeling/wow part time.

According to your last blog, you prefer your priest. Why?

Originally I played warlock and raped some serious season 5 faces, but I just pull so much aggro raiding… it was making me sad. I couldn’t control myself in Nax, I just “pewpew” too hard and a tad irresponsibly, so I rerolled as a healer (and a tank, after my priest) to learn my lesson, haha.

I still raid on my warlock regularly even though she’s in a pvp guild, I enjoy representing a formidable pve character within the best pvp guild in the world. But yes, I started raiding Ulduar with my priest as holy, I was a glorified bench warmer for the first half of the patch, and finally gave me a chance and I proved myself as a healer. The better I became with my priest’s cooldowns the more I fell in love with my priest. I just started having a lot more fun healing as something different is always happening, someone else is always fucking up, and you have to be there to save them!

What about your least favorite class?

I always liked killing the ‘other caster’ as a warlock, and I haven’t really lost that gripe against mages. Warlocks are at least respectable in their CC- mages are just assholes. Sheeping me? Really?! Not only do you have to take me out of the game, but you have to make me look ridiculous as well? What motherfuckers, man. Mages. Fuck mages. Then they went pretty out of control with the cats and pigs and stuff too. So humiliating for warlocks -_- just a nuisance for priests though.

How did you find out about the XFX competition?

I guess I just read the page that said they were looking for a spokesmodel. The loots were worth going public with the face, so I went for it :p

What do you think about the “overbearing lesson”, TiTs or GTFO?

There’s a moral to the story but I forgot what it was.

Asides from the foot fetish guy, any online stalkers?

The foot fetish guy actually isn’t that bad, he came online the other day and was chatting with me while I was running my priest’s 10 man. He was a little cranky about the post, but not too bothered. Most people I run into online I talk to, it’s annoying though when people just want to talk to me and never actually do anything in game though, I just wanna kill stuff.

Real Life stalkers? Crazy boyfriend? Abusive husband?

As fun as that sounds I just get hit on by fgt dudes in beamers that are like ‘hey cutie I own a PR company wanna go out to dancing I can get us VIP’ and I’m usually something of ‘naw dude I have a ten man tonight’ and they’re like “You some kind of porn star??” and yeahh…. but no, never married, no crazy boyfriends, maybe one real life stalker but he’s not too bothersome

How are you handling the GameRiot crowd? They can be rough sometimes

I know I should probably be crying and hating my life with the shit they say but I just giggle pretty hard, because… they’re funny and the internet has numbed me to an extent where I laugh at photos … that I shouldn’t laugh at. With GR
though, sometimes I don’t catch on at first I’m like is he mad? Oh he’s not mad. He’s “loling”. Right, sorry I’m new here.

Are you planning to do Arena this season? Or just raiding?

I’m at 2300 in 2s on my priest atm playing priest/hunter (awful comp, everything counters us), some priest/rogue, paladin is at 2200 in 3s, mostly team hopping until I find a group to settle in with.

A possible video featuring millies?

I don’t know how to fraps but sometimes Jhazy and I stream our 2s n 3s, I was playing priest/hunter with him for a while but now my pally has pvp gear, i’m a horrible hpal with 3 hours of play. Bgs do not prepare you =( but i’m practicing. Its not just fat girls that suck at los, its all girls =(

GR found some pictures of you and Steve-O, anything you want to clear up about that?

Err… I went to a movie with Janice Dickinson and they were there and when I went out afterward that night with a different group of friends the jackass guys were there again and they recognized me from earlier, Steve-o (that sly dog) got my number and invited me out with them a bunch, you know in the hangover when they all wake up.

I’m so sad I can’t find one of me and Weeman, where the hell did it go?!

One thing you would change/remove from WoW:

I would make badge gear look ridiculously stupid, instead of identical to the gear that drops from killing “dwagons”.

One thing you would like to see in WoW:

I think the top 5 ranking teams in each bracket should be given a gold prize at the end of the week. It’d be fitting in the larpiest sense, and I think as a faction it doesn’t make sense to award points that can only redeem gear- while I can see the horde having a large part in arena for only the glory in slaughter, I don’t see the alliance mindset giving arenas the
time of day unless King Wrynn is offering a lump sum at the end of the week for the champion. So… I guess I want more larp in myarenas, I think it’s weird there’s no real game content within each season. Where’s my cut-scene when I hit 2200?!

Any message for those real female gamers that wish to “make” it in the gaming world?

We’re all here, bored, trolling each other or wanking each other’s epeens in between our real lives… its fun if you’ve been sitting on the internet since you were 12 and don’t know much else anyway, but idk if there’s anything to ‘make’ ….hahaha.
