The Crazies and *Free Contest Reminder*
When I think of a good zombie movie my mind goes straight to 28 Days Later. After watching the trailer for The Crazies (a remake, haven’t seen the 1973 original) I thought it had potential to be good as well. Saw the movie yesterday and I wasn’t disappointed. Its hard to say much about the movie without giving anything away. Its not a zombie movie per se, but its very similar to most. A handful of Small Town, USA residents dealing with crazy people who are trying to kill them, while also having to deal with a military presence trying to control the whole thing.
I thought it was well made, the acting was solid, and the action/scary scenes were good without being ridiculous or too gory. If you’re into movies like this and you’re on the fence at all, go out and watch it. Zombie movies won’t get much better than this (28 days is still better, but that’s ok).
