Blizzard Donates $1.1 Million Dollars To Make A Wish Foundation

A few months ago Blizzard opened the WoW: Pet Store and half of the sales from the Pandaren Monk Pet were donated to the Foundation.  Mike Morhaime thanked the players:

“This donation also reflects the spirit and generosity of our players — their enthusiasm for World of Warcraft and for supporting a good cause made this possible.”

This speaks very highly of both Blizzard as a company and players around the world. If only Blizzard would release the Murloc pet.

  1. WoW is growing so fast, it’s about time they started donating to charity. Not like they can’t afford too. As for the Murloc pet maybe one day. It was available as a booty bay fishing contest prize. But I dunno if that’s still available.

I think Blizzard has a history of donating money to M-a-W Foundation but I would love to see more stuff like this from other companies.
