Tatsunoko vs Capcom: Capcom Newest Baby

The news about this game are old but the original Tatsunoko vs Capcom: Cross Generation of Heroes never made it outside of Japan.   According to Capcom, releasing the game outside Japan proved very difficult because different companies in North America have licencing rights to some of Tatsunoko’s characters.

We have Capcom vs SNK, Marvel vs Capcom and now Tatsunoko vs Capcom; all three games are fighters but TvC is the first in the series to feature 3D graphics in a 2D panel.  Players will make a team of two characters and in true “VS series” fashion, kick the crap out of each other. This might be a first as well (I could be wrong) but  the game has two large characters, Capcom’s PTX40A and Tatsunoko’s Gold Lightan, this two can’t join a team and must fight alone.  Those two are quite big, you can see them in one of the videos below.

It is rumored that the US version of the game will have a better story mode, it will be wifi compatible and have a few more playable characters.  The bad news? It will only come out for the Wii, hopefully we will see this game in the future on other consoles or as an Xbox Live Arcade title.  The game will release on 2010, if you are curious about the game, visit TvC website for more information.
