In Nier your are tasked with saving your sister from the “Black Sentence Plague”, which is an incurable illness. As your character moves forward in the story you will learn more about the world around you and the demon’s who have succumbed to madness. Nier RepliCant is set to be released in 2010 and is being developed by Studio Cavia, who is best known for their work on Drakengard and Naruto: Uzumaki Chronicles.

Gluttony from Full Metal Alchemist

All I can say is WOW!! The game seems to be story-driven (I don’t care it looks AMAZING!) and from the video the action looks sweet. Nier Replicant will be released for the PS3 while Nier Gestalt will be available for Xbox 360 users. Will the story be different? What about the content or features? Soon we will find out! This will be completely irrelevant but for a moment there the weird creature reminded me of Gluttony, one of the characters from Full Metal Alchemist.

Any ideas when this game will hit the stores in Japan ?
