Another Champions Online Blog: Will it remain Fun?
The time I spent playing Champions Online was fun, really fun. Very soon the game will release and I can’t help but think how much fun will Champions Online be. CO will enter CoH/CoV territory, will it crush CoH or barely survive the MMO world?
One of my favorite parts was the character creation, the costumes can be save in case you want to use it some other time.

I like and dislike the Nemesis system; on the plus side it will add to the comic story value of CO. Not being able to play a villain gets on my nerves, after all there are no heroes without villains right ?
Nemesis
The nemesis system is very interesting but it does not match actual PvP and for that reason I need to compare CO with DC Universe. DCU will let you create a hero or a villain (we can say something like CoH/CoV), creating a perfect ground for PvP. I can imagine a villain mastermind raising an army to go against the heroes; or a bounty hunter killing heroes one at a time. CO opted for an arena (it feels like a UFC with superpowers), you can battle 1v1, team matches or free for all. I tried the Hero games and the first 5 minutes were pure confusion, the next 5 excitement, and the rest of the match dissapointing. The PvP side of CO is definitely not my favorite for now.

DC Universe PvP and other goodies
PvE gameplay wise CO delivers; the fights are smooth, story has narration, and you have the options needed to feel heroic enough. Certain dynamics like picking up objects from the world and having a diferent active shield powers add to the thrill of the superhero madness. After the initial “tutorial” the game opens up and gets more interesting. The question remains: Will it remain fun after a few months?
